Here's the simple version: Galphimia glauca appears to have a calming, sedative effect of its own. Tramadol, while it does relieve pain, also acts on your brain and nervous system and can make you drowsy, lightheaded, or foggy. Put the two together and those sleepy effects could stack up, leaving you more drowsy or slow to react than you'd expect.

I want to be honest about the strength here: this is a theoretical concern based on how each one works, not something proven in studies of the two combined. Still, it's a reasonable caution. If you ever feel unusually sedated, dizzy, or have trouble staying alert, be careful with driving and check in with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.
