Here's the simple version: hydrocodone is a strong opioid that already slows down your brain and nervous system. That's how it eases pain, but it's also why it can make you drowsy, foggy, or short of breath. Galphimia glauca seems to have its own calming, sedative effect. Stack the two together and you may feel more sleepy, dizzy, or slowed down than you would expect from either one alone.

I'll be honest, this concern is theoretical, based on how each one works rather than firm studies in people. Still, with a powerful medicine like hydrocodone, I'd play it safe. Before you add this supplement, please check with your pharmacist or doctor, and watch for unusual drowsiness or slow breathing.
