Hydralazine falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Garden Cress interacts with.

Theoretically, taking garden cress with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Garden cress has shown hypotensive effects in animal research and increases levels and effects of the antihypertensive medications amlodipine and losartan. This has not been shown in humans.

Here's the short version: garden cress may have a mild blood-pressure-lowering effect of its own. Since hydralazine already relaxes your blood vessels to bring your pressure down, stacking the two together could, in theory, push your blood pressure a little lower than intended. If that happens, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, or get a faster heartbeat, especially when you stand up quickly.

I want to keep this in perspective. This concern comes from animal and lab studies, not from people, so it's more of a theoretical heads-up than a proven problem. Eating garden cress as a food is very unlikely to matter. Concentrated seed supplements are where I'd be more careful. If you'd like to use one, check with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your blood pressure.

Hydralazine tablets are used to treat essential hypertension (high blood pressure), either alone or alongside other blood pressure medications.

The hydrALAZINE Hydrochloride injection form is used in hospital settings for severe essential hypertension when oral medication cannot be taken or when blood pressure needs to be lowered urgently.
