Amlodipine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group German Chamomile interacts with.

Theoretically, German chamomile might inhibit CYP3A4 and increase levels of drugs metabolized by these enzymes.
In vitro evidence shows that German chamomile might inhibit CYP3A4. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans. However, there might be an increase in the levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4 in patients taking German chamomile.

Here's the short version: your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to break down amlodipine. German chamomile, at least in test-tube studies, may slow that enzyme down a bit. If it does, amlodipine could clear more slowly and build up in your system, which can nudge its blood-pressure-lowering effect a little stronger than expected.

In real life that might show up as swollen ankles, dizziness or lightheadedness (especially standing up), flushing, headache, or feeling unusually tired. I want to be honest, though: this concern comes only from lab data, and it has not actually been seen in people. A cup of chamomile tea now and then is very unlikely to cause trouble. If you drink it daily or take concentrated capsules, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on your numbers.

What Is Amlodipine Used For?

Brand name: Norliqva

Amlodipine treats high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children aged 6–17 years. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Sdamlo (oral solution) is specifically indicated for hypertension in adults and pediatric patients 6 years of age and older.

Amlodipine also treats coronary artery disease in adults, including chronic stable angina (chest pain with exertion), vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal's or variant angina, caused by coronary artery spasms), and documented coronary artery disease in patients without heart failure or significantly reduced heart pumping function.
