Here's the simple version. Your Ziac already contains hydrochlorothiazide, which is a water pill (diuretic). Goldenrod is traditionally used as a gentle diuretic too. So the worry is that taking them together could add up and flush out a little more fluid and salt than expected.

If that happens, you might notice things like lightheadedness when you stand up, more frequent urination, dehydration, or low potassium or sodium (which can cause muscle cramps, weakness, or feeling tired). I want to be honest though: this concern comes only from lab and animal studies, not solid human research, so it's more theoretical than proven. Please don't start or stop anything on your own. Just give me or your doctor a quick call before adding goldenrod so we can keep an eye on your blood pressure and electrolytes.
