Carbamazepine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Higenamine interacts with.

Theoretically, higenamine might increase the levels and clinical effects drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that higenamine inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes by 21%. However, this effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for carbamazepine (Tegretol). Your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear this medicine out. In a lab dish, higenamine slowed that enzyme down by about 21%. If the same thing happened in people, carbamazepine could build up a bit in your system, possibly nudging up side effects like dizziness, drowsiness, blurred or double vision, unsteadiness, or nausea.

I want to be honest about the evidence though: this is theoretical, based only on test-tube work, and it has never been shown in actual patients. Still, carbamazepine has a narrow safe range where small shifts can matter, and higenamine itself can stress the heart. Please run this combo by your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them, and don't change your dose on your own.

Higenamine is a plant-based stimulant compound added to many weight-loss and pre-workout supplements, but there is very little human evidence that it works and real concerns about heart and blood pressure effects. What Is Carbamazepine Used For?

Brand names: Tegretol, Tegretol XR, Equetro, Carbatrol, Carnexiv

Carbamazepine is used to treat certain types of seizures — including partial seizures, generalized tonic-clonic (grand mal) seizures, and mixed seizure patterns. It works best for those specific seizure types; it does not appear to control absence (petit mal) seizures.

It is also prescribed to relieve the intense facial pain of trigeminal neuralgia — a nerve condition that causes sudden, severe pain along the face. It is not a general painkiller and shouldn't be used for ordinary aches and pains.
