Higenamine + Pseudoephedrine
Pseudoephedrine brand names: Pseudoval Plus, Sudafed, Mini Pseudo, Robidrine, Sudafed 12 Hour.
Higenamine has a moderate interaction with Pseudoephedrine. Theoretically, higenamine might increase the risk of cardiovascular toxicity when taken with stimulant drugs.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
STIMULANT DRUGS
Why this applies to Pseudoephedrine
Pseudoephedrine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Higenamine interacts with.
Higenamine has stimulant effects due to agonist activity at beta2-adrenoreceptors. In cardiac muscle, higenamine appears to have a positive inotropic effect and increase heart rate. However, it does not appear to increase blood pressure.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to know if you're reaching for Sudafed while taking a supplement with higenamine: both are stimulants. Pseudoephedrine narrows blood vessels and can already bump up your heart rate and blood pressure, and higenamine acts on similar adrenaline-type receptors. Stacking the two could add up, so you might notice a racing or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or feeling wired.
I want to be upfront that this concern is theoretical, based on how these compounds work rather than solid human studies. For most healthy people a short course of a decongestant is unlikely to cause real trouble, but if you have any heart or blood pressure issues, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

About Higenamine
What is Higenamine?
- Weight loss and fat burning
- Pre-workout energy and performance
- Appetite suppression
- Athletic stimulant
- Traditional medicine remedies
Higenamine is a plant-based stimulant compound added to many weight-loss and pre-workout supplements, but there is very little human evidence that it works and real concerns about heart and blood pressure effects. It is banned in sports by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), and product labels often list inaccurate amounts, so most people should approach it with caution and talk to a pharmacist or doctor first.
About Pseudoephedrine
What Is Pseudoephedrine Used For?
Brand names: Pseudoval Plus, Sudafed, Mini Pseudo, Robidrine, Sudafed 12 Hour
Pseudoephedrine temporarily relieves nasal congestion and sinus pressure caused by the common cold, hay fever, or other upper respiratory allergies. Most products also relieve sinus congestion and pressure, and help restore easier breathing through the nose.
Children's Sudafed oral solution additionally promotes nasal and/or sinus drainage. The Nasal Decongestant tablet specifically notes that it temporarily restores freer breathing through the nose.
