In vitro research and animal research shows that horny goat weed can inhibit platelet aggregation and thrombus formation. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Dicumarol is a blood thinner, an older cousin of warfarin, and it works by lowering your body's ability to form clots. So anything else that nudges you toward easier bleeding deserves a second look. The concern here is that horny goat weed, in lab dishes and animal studies, seems to make platelets less sticky, which could in theory add to dicumarol's clot-slowing effect.

I want to be honest: this hasn't actually been seen in people, so the evidence is weak and theoretical. Still, because dicumarol is a narrow-margin drug where small shifts matter, stacking it with this herb could in principle mean more bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding that's slow to stop. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
