Orphenadrine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2B6 (CYP2B6) SUBSTRATES — the group Horny Goat Weed interacts with.

Theoretically, horny goat weed might increase the effects and side effects of CYP2B6 substrates.
In vitro, horny goat weed leaf extract inhibits CYP2B6. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for these two together. Your body relies on an enzyme called CYP2B6 to help break down orphenadrine. In test-tube studies, horny goat weed appears to slow that enzyme down. If that same effect happened in people, orphenadrine could clear out of your system more slowly and build up a bit, which may mean stronger effects and more side effects than usual.

With orphenadrine, that could show up as extra drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurry vision, or a racing heartbeat. I want to be honest though: this is only seen in lab studies, not in actual patients, so it's theoretical. Still, since this herb isn't well studied, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Orphenadrine citrate is used to ease discomfort from acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions — things like muscle pain and stiffness. It is always used as part of a broader treatment plan that includes rest and physical therapy, not as a stand-alone cure.

Both the extended-release tablet and the injection form are approved for this use. Neither form directly relaxes tight muscles — the relief it provides is thought to be related to its pain-relieving (analgesic) properties.
