ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Aspirin, Caffeine
Aspirin, Caffeine falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Japanese Persimmon interacts with.
Some anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, indomethacin (Indocin), ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Your Anacin contains aspirin, which thins the blood a bit by keeping platelets from clumping, plus caffeine for a little extra pain relief. The concern here is with persimmon leaf products, not the fruit you eat. Lab studies suggest certain proteins in persimmon leaf extract may also slow clotting. Stacked on top of aspirin, the theory is that bleeding tendencies could add up.
I want to be honest: this is theoretical, shown only in test tubes, never proven in people. Eating persimmon fruit is unlikely to matter. But if you take concentrated leaf extracts, watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding gums, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Aspirin, Caffeine page
“Anacin combines aspirin with caffeine, so supplements can hit it from two directions, and a few of the 347 on this list deserve real respect. The biggest group, over 200 ingredients, can raise bleeding risk on top of aspirin's blood-thinning effect; beer and wine carry major ratings because alcohol plus an aspirin-type drug makes stoma…”
