ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Fish Oil Triglycerides
Fish Oil Triglycerides falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Kiwi interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: kiwi has been shown in some research to make platelets (the cells that help your blood clot) a little less sticky. Fish oil, including products like Omegaven, can do a similar thing on its own and may gently thin the blood, especially at higher doses. Stack the two together and, in theory, you could nudge your bleeding risk up a bit.
In real life this is pretty mild and based mostly on how these things work, not on strong studies. Eating kiwi as a regular food is unlikely to cause trouble. Just keep an eye out for things like easy bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding that's slow to stop, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding concentrated kiwi supplements.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Fish Oil Triglycerides page
“Nearly everything on this page points at one danger for anyone receiving Fish Oil Triglycerides (Omegaven): bleeding. Omega-3 fats can slow clotting somewhat on their own, and 202 of the interacting supplements and herbs add their own blood-thinning or antiplatelet effects on top of that, so combining them casually is a real mistake.”
