Here's the gist: Ertugliflozin (Steglatro) already lowers your blood sugar by flushing extra glucose out through your urine. Kombucha, on the other hand, has shown in animal studies that it might nudge blood sugar down a little on its own. Put the two together and, in theory, your sugar could drift lower than expected.

I want to keep this in perspective, though. This concern is theoretical and based on animal research, not solid human studies. On its own, ertugliflozin rarely causes low blood sugar unless you also take insulin or a sulfonylurea. A casual glass of kombucha is unlikely to be a problem, but if you notice shakiness, sweating, or dizziness, check your sugar and let your pharmacist or doctor know.
