Here's the thing about Rifamate: it combines two tuberculosis medicines, isoniazid and rifampin, and both are already known to be tough on the liver. That's why doctors usually check your liver blood work while you're on it. Kudzu, on the other hand, has its own small question marks around liver safety. So the worry here isn't about kudzu changing how your medicine works, it's that stacking two liver stressors together might add up and put more strain on that organ.

I'll be straight with you: this concern is theoretical, based on how things work rather than real cases. Still, watch for warning signs like yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness, and check with your doctor or pharmacist before adding kudzu.

Kudzu is a fast-growing vine whose root has long been used in traditional Chinese medicine and is now studied mostly for reducing alcohol intake.
