Here's the simple version: Lyumjev (insulin lispro-aabc) already lowers your blood sugar, and L-arginine may nudge it a little lower too. Some early research suggests L-arginine can modestly reduce blood glucose in people with type 2 diabetes. Put the two together and the effects could add up, which means a bigger drop than you expected.

This is mostly a theoretical concern based on how L-arginine works, not something proven to cause problems, so don't panic. But it's worth knowing the warning signs of low blood sugar: shakiness, sweating, a fast heartbeat, confusion, or feeling lightheaded. If you'd like to try L-arginine, check in with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your glucose readings when starting.
