Some of these drugs include some chemotherapeutic agents (daunorubicin, docetaxel, etoposide, paclitaxel, vinblastine, vincristine, vindesine), antifungals (ketoconazole, itraconazole), protease inhibitors (amprenavir, indinavir, nelfinavir, saquinavir), H2 antagonists (cimetidine, ranitidine), some calcium channel blockers (diltiazem, verapamil), corticosteroids, erythromycin, cisapride (Propulsid), fexofenadine (Allegra), cyclosporine, loperamide (Imodium), quinidine, and others.

Here's the gist for Xarelto (rivaroxaban). Your body uses a little pump called P-glycoprotein to move some of this drug back out as it's being absorbed. Certain methoxylated flavones from citrus peel, like nobiletin and tangeretin, can slow that pump down in lab tests. In theory, that could let a bit more rivaroxaban get into your blood than usual.
Since rivaroxaban is an active blood thinner (not a prodrug), more in your system could mean a higher bleeding risk, things like easy bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding that's slow to stop. To be clear, this is only a theory based on lab studies, not real patient cases, and a bit of citrus in food won't matter. Still, with a blood thinner I'd run any concentrated supplement past your pharmacist or doctor first.

Some drugs metabolized by CYP1A2 include clozapine (Clozaril), cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril), fluvoxamine (Luvox), haloperidol (Haldol), imipramine (Tofranil), mexiletine (Mexitil), olanzapine (Zyprexa), Pentazocine (Talwin), propranolol (Inderal), tacrine (Cognex), theophylline (Slo-bid, Theo-Dur, others), zileuton (Zyflo), Zolmitriptan (Zomig), and others.

Here's the gist for Xarelto (rivaroxaban). Your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to help clear this blood thinner from your system. In test-tube studies, some methoxylated flavones from citrus peel can slow that enzyme down. If that happened in people, rivaroxaban could build up a bit higher than expected, and since this drug's main job is preventing clots by thinning the blood, the real concern would be a higher chance of bleeding. Think easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or in rarer cases something more serious.
I want to be honest about the strength here: this is only lab evidence, not something seen in actual patients, and it doesn't happen with every flavone. The amount in foods is unlikely to cause trouble. Still, with a blood thinner I'd play it safe and run any concentrated supplement past your pharmacist or doctor first.

Here's the simple version: rivaroxaban (Xarelto) is already a blood thinner that keeps clots from forming. In test-tube studies, methoxylated flavones from citrus peel seem to make platelets a little less sticky. Stacking those two together could, in theory, nudge your blood toward thinning a bit more than expected, which might raise your chance of bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding that's slow to stop.
I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. It comes from lab work, not real patients, so we really don't know if it matters in everyday life. The small amounts in food or citrus are unlikely to be a problem. Before starting a concentrated supplement, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye out for any bleeding signs.

What Is Rivaroxaban Used For?
Brand name: Xarelto
Rivaroxaban tablets are used to reduce the risk of stroke in adults with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (an irregular heart rhythm), treat deep vein thrombosis (DVT, a blood clot in a vein) and pulmonary embolism (PE, a blood clot in the lungs), and lower the chances of these clots coming back. They also help prevent clots after hip or knee replacement surgery, protect hospitalized patients at risk for clots, and — in combination with aspirin — reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events in adults with coronary artery disease (CAD) or peripheral artery disease (PAD).
Rivaroxaban tablets are also approved for treating VTE (venous thromboembolism, blood clots in veins) and preventing recurrence in pediatric patients from birth to under 18 years, and for preventing clots in children aged 2 and older with congenital heart disease after the Fontan procedure. Rivaroxaban for oral suspension (available as Rivaroxaban Granule and Xarelto oral suspension) is specifically indicated for these two pediatric uses.
