Phenylpropanolamine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Methylsynephrine interacts with.

Methylsynephrine has cardiac stimulant effects. Theoretically, taking methylsynephrine with other stimulant drugs might increase the risk of hypertension and adverse cardiovascular effects.
Some stimulant drugs include amphetamine, caffeine, diethylpropion (Tenuate), methylphenidate, phentermine (Ionamin), pseudoephedrine (Sudafed, others), and many others.

Here's the simple version. Both methylsynephrine and phenylpropanolamine are stimulants that act like your body's adrenaline. They each push your heart rate up and tighten your blood vessels, which raises blood pressure. When you stack two stimulants like this, those effects can pile on top of each other, so the worry is a bigger jump in blood pressure, a racing or pounding heart, headaches, jitteriness, or chest discomfort.

To be straight with you, this concern is theoretical, based on how these drugs work rather than hard studies. But phenylpropanolamine already has a real history of stroke and blood pressure trouble, and methylsynephrine isn't a legal supplement ingredient here. I'd steer clear of combining them and check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
