STIMULANT DRUGS
Why this applies to Dextroamphetamine (patch)
Dextroamphetamine (patch) falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Methylsynephrine interacts with.
Some stimulant drugs include amphetamine, caffeine, diethylpropion (Tenuate), methylphenidate, phentermine (Ionamin), pseudoephedrine (Sudafed, others), and many others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to know: your Xelstrym patch already delivers dextroamphetamine, a potent stimulant that speeds up your heart, raises your blood pressure, and revs up your nervous system. Methylsynephrine works in a very similar way, acting like adrenaline in your body. Stacking two stimulants together doesn't cancel out, it piles on. So you could see a faster or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, chest tightness, or trouble sleeping, and in rare cases more serious heart rhythm problems.
To be fair, this concern is theoretical, based on how these drugs work rather than firm studies. But methylsynephrine isn't an approved supplement ingredient and has been tied to real heart trouble, so I'd steer clear. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Dextroamphetamine (patch) page
“Ephedra sits at the very top of the concerns for anyone using the dextroamphetamine patch (Xelstrym). The herb is a stimulant in its own right, and stacking two stimulants can push blood pressure and heart strain into dangerous territory.”

About Methylsynephrine
What is Methylsynephrine?
- Weight loss and fat burning
- Boosting energy
- Athletic and workout performance
- Appetite control
Methylsynephrine (also called oxilofrine) is a synthetic stimulant sometimes added to weight-loss and pre-workout products, but it is not a legal or approved dietary ingredient in the United States. It has been linked to serious heart and blood pressure problems, and there is no good evidence it is safe or effective for these uses, so it is best avoided.
