Indiplon is a sleep medicine that works by calming down your brain and nervous system, much like the older sleeping pills do. Here's the thing about motherwort: some reports suggest it can also have a mild calming, sleepy effect of its own. So when you pair the two, the worry is that they may add together and make you more drowsy than expected, with things like grogginess, dizziness, trouble concentrating, or feeling unsteady on your feet the next morning.

I'll be honest with you, this concern is mostly theoretical, based on how each one behaves rather than strong human studies. It's not about one changing how the other is broken down. Still, since both can dial down your alertness, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if you drive or live alone.
