Amlodipine, Celecoxib falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Phellodendron interacts with.

Theoretically, phellodendron might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Phellodendron contains berberine. Animal research suggests that berberine can have hypotensive effects. Also, a clinical study suggests that taking berberine in combination with amlodipine can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure when compared with amlodipine alone. Theoretically, phellodendron might also reduce blood pressure.

Consensi is a combo pill that pairs amlodipine (a blood pressure medicine) with celecoxib (an anti-inflammatory). The piece that matters here is the amlodipine. Phellodendron contains berberine, which on its own may nudge blood pressure down a bit. So when you stack it on top of amlodipine, the two could add together and lower your numbers more than expected.

In real life that might show up as dizziness, lightheadedness when you stand up, headache, or feeling unusually tired. Keep in mind this is a theoretical concern based mostly on how berberine behaves, plus one small study, so it's not a sure thing. If you'd like to try Phellodendron, check with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your blood pressure rather than changing anything on your own.

Phellodendron contains berberine. Preliminary clinical research shows that berberine can inhibit CYP2C9. Theoretically, phellodendron might also inhibit CYP2C9.

Consensi is a two-in-one pill that pairs amlodipine (a blood pressure medicine) with celecoxib (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever). The celecoxib part is cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. Phellodendron contains berberine, and early research suggests berberine can slow that enzyme down. In theory, that could let celecoxib build up a bit higher than usual.

If that happened, you might notice more of celecoxib's typical side effects, like stomach upset, heartburn, fluid retention, or a higher risk of stomach irritation. I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical concern based on how the drug is processed, not proven in real patients. Still, it is worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding phellodendron, so they can keep an eye on things.

Phellodendron contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical research show that berberine moderately inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, phellodendron might also inhibit CYP3A4.

Consensi combines two medicines: amlodipine (a blood pressure pill) and celecoxib (an anti-inflammatory). Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help clear both of them. Phellodendron contains berberine, which lab and early human studies suggest can mildly slow that same enzyme. In theory, that means a bit more of these drugs could linger in your body.

If levels of amlodipine creep up, you might notice more swelling in your ankles, dizziness, flushing, or a lower blood pressure than usual. Higher celecoxib could mean more stomach upset. Keep in mind this is a theoretical concern based on how the enzyme works, not strong proof. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding phellodendron.
