The codeine in your Aspirin with Codeine combo is an opioid, and one of its well-known effects is making you feel drowsy or relaxed. Poria mushroom has shown mild calming, sedative-like properties in animal studies. So the concern here is simple: if both nudge you toward sleepiness, stacking them could leave you more groggy, lightheaded, or slow to react than codeine alone.

I want to be straight with you, though. This interaction is theoretical and has not actually been shown in people, so it's a caution rather than a red alert. Still, if you notice extra drowsiness or dizziness, ease up and check in with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if you drive or take other sedating medicines.
