Concomitant use of pregnenolone may reduce the effects of benzodiazepines.
Very preliminary clinical research shows that chronic use of pregnenolone reduces sedative effects of diazepam when compared with chronic use of placebo. This effect may be related to the activity of pregnenolone at GABAA receptors.

Here's the gist for Prazepam (Centrax), which is a benzodiazepine that calms anxiety by acting on GABA receptors in your brain. Some early research suggests that taking pregnenolone regularly may dial down the sedative, calming effects of benzodiazepines. So in theory, pairing the two could leave your Prazepam feeling less effective, meaning you might notice more anxiety or that it isn't relaxing you the way you expect.

I want to be honest with you: this is based on limited, lower quality research using a related drug, so it's not a sure thing. Still, since both touch the same brain receptors, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before you combine them. Please don't change how you take your Prazepam on your own.
