Your birth control pill combines a synthetic estrogen (ethinyl estradiol) with a progestin (levonorgestrel). Pregnenolone sits at the top of the body's hormone chain and can be converted into other steroid hormones, including estrogens. So in theory, adding it on top of the estrogen already in your pill might nudge your total estrogen-like activity a little higher.

I want to be honest about how soft this is. It is a theoretical concern based on how these hormones are built, not on real studies in people taking the pill. If anything did happen, it would more likely show up as estrogen-type effects like breast tenderness, bloating, nausea, or mood changes. Since this is hormone-on-hormone, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
