Ipratropium falls under ANTICHOLINERGIC DRUGS — the group Purple Nut Sedge interacts with.

In vitro, purple nut sedge dose-dependently inhibits acetylcholinesterase (AChE). Theoretically, concurrent use of anticholinergic drugs and purple nut sedge might decrease the effectiveness of purple nut sedge or the anticholinergic agent.
Some anticholinergic drugs include atropine, benztropine (Cogentin), biperiden (Akineton), procyclidine (Kemadrin), and trihexyphenidyl (Artane).

Here's the gist for ipratropium (Atrovent). Ipratropium is an inhaled anticholinergic that helps open your airways by blocking acetylcholine, a signaling chemical. In lab dishes, purple nut sedge does the opposite job, it slows down the enzyme that breaks acetylcholine down, so more of it sticks around. In theory, that tug-of-war could blunt each other, meaning your ipratropium might work a little less well and your breathing relief could fall short.

That said, this is only test-tube and animal data, and ipratropium is inhaled and acts mostly right in your lungs, so very little reaches the rest of your body. A real-world clash is unlikely, but if you notice more wheezing or shortness of breath, check in with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.
