Dimenhydrinate falls under ANTICHOLINERGIC DRUGS — the group Purple Nut Sedge interacts with.

In vitro, purple nut sedge dose-dependently inhibits acetylcholinesterase (AChE). Theoretically, concurrent use of anticholinergic drugs and purple nut sedge might decrease the effectiveness of purple nut sedge or the anticholinergic agent.
Some anticholinergic drugs include atropine, benztropine (Cogentin), biperiden (Akineton), procyclidine (Kemadrin), and trihexyphenidyl (Artane).

Here is the basic idea. Dramamine (dimenhydrinate) is an antihistamine that works partly by blocking acetylcholine, a signaling chemical in your body. That blocking action is what calms motion sickness, but it also causes the familiar side effects like drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, and constipation. Purple nut sedge, in lab dishes only, seems to do the opposite by boosting acetylcholine. So in theory the two could work against each other, slightly blunting how well either one does its job.

Honestly, this is a very weak, test-tube-level concern, not something proven in people. I would not lose sleep over it, but it is worth mentioning to your pharmacist or doctor if you plan to use both regularly so they can keep an eye on things.
