Canagliflozin, Metformin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Saffron interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of saffron with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Some clinical research shows that taking saffron extract reduces fasting levels of glucose when used in addition to hypoglycemic agents. However, saffron powder itself has not been shown to reduce fasting glucose levels.

Invokamet pairs two diabetes medicines, canagliflozin and metformin, that both work to lower your blood sugar. Here's the thing about saffron: some early research suggests that saffron extract may nudge fasting blood sugar down a little when added to diabetes treatment. Layer that on top of medicines already lowering your glucose, and in theory your levels could dip too low.

If that happens, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, confused, or unusually hungry. To be fair, this effect is mostly theoretical and based on lower-quality studies, and plain saffron powder hasn't shown the same blood-sugar effect. A pinch in your cooking is very unlikely to matter, but a concentrated supplement is worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor first.
