Saigon Cinnamon + Sildenafil
Sildenafil brand name: Revatio.
We found no known interaction between Saigon Cinnamon and Sildenafil in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first.
Saigon Cinnamon and Sildenafil
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Sildenafil and Saigon Cinnamon in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Sildenafil
Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Sildenafil is filed under 6 classifications — including phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors, vasodilators, cytochrome p450 2c9 (cyp2c9) substrates. Saigon Cinnamon has documented interactions with 1 drug class — the most serious being hepatotoxic drugs (moderate) — and none of Sildenafil’s classifications are among them.
Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.

These are real questions from readers, answered by the pharmacists at HelloPharmacist — written by a person, not generated from a database. See Every Supplement That Interacts With Sildenafil
This page covers Saigon Cinnamon only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Sildenafil page lists 160 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: Activated Charcoal (major), American Mistletoe (major), Grapefruit (major), Hawthorn (major) and St. John's Wort (major).
By severity: 5 major · 114 moderate · 41 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Sildenafil page
“Sildenafil relaxes blood vessels, whether prescribed as Revatio for pulmonary hypertension or as Viagra, and that blood-pressure-lowering action makes this list one to treat with genuine care. Of the 160 supplement and herbal ingredients on file, five carry a major rating, and those deserve understanding first.”

About Saigon Cinnamon
What is Saigon Cinnamon?
- Blood sugar support
- Digestive upset
- Antioxidant support
- Flavoring and culinary use
- Antimicrobial
Saigon cinnamon is a flavorful spice from a Cinnamomum tree grown mainly in Vietnam, and it is a type of 'cassia' cinnamon. Some people use it for blood sugar and digestion, but the human evidence is limited. Because cassia cinnamons like this one are high in a compound called coumarin, regularly taking large supplement doses may be hard on the liver in sensitive people, so use food amounts and check with your pharmacist before taking concentrated products.
Cinnamomum loureiroi · Lauraceae · Inner bark (and bark essential oil) · Ground spice, sticks (quills), capsules, extracts, tea, essential oil
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Saigon Cinnamon is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Saigon Cinnamon record says about it on its own.
Saigon Cinnamon: dosing
There is no well-established standardized dose for Saigon cinnamon, and product strengths vary widely. Studies on cinnamon have used different amounts and forms, making it hard to recommend a single reliable dose.If you choose to use a supplement, the safest approach is to follow the directions on the product label and not exceed them.

About Sildenafil
What Is Sildenafil Used For?
Brand name: Revatio
Sildenafil treats two distinct conditions depending on the product. Viagra (tablet) and Vybrique (dissolving oral film) are approved for erectile dysfunction (ED) — difficulty getting or keeping an erection. Generic sildenafil tablets and oral film are also approved for ED.
Revatio and several generic sildenafil products (tablets, oral suspension, and injection) are used for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) — high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs — in adults to improve exercise ability and slow the disease from getting worse. Revatio oral suspension and injection are also approved for PAH in children ages 1 to 17.
Most-Reported Side Effects for Sildenafil
From FAERS, the FDA’s public side-effect reporting system (126,564 reports, all brands). Reports are voluntary and are not proof the drug caused the effect.
