This combination product mixes aspirin, codeine, and phenobarbital. The piece that matters here is the codeine (a mild opioid pain reliever) and especially the phenobarbital (a barbiturate that already makes people quite drowsy). Both of these calm down the central nervous system. Sceletium, or kanna, may have its own mild sedating effect, so taking them together could stack up and leave you extra sleepy, foggy, slow to react, or unsteady on your feet.

To be fair, this is a theoretical concern based on how these ingredients behave, not on strong studies, so it may not be a big deal for everyone. Still, with a barbiturate in the mix, I would not combine them without checking first. Please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before adding sceletium.
