Alogliptin, Pioglitazone falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Shilajit interacts with.

Taking shilajit with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Most human and animal research shows that shilajit can decrease fasting plasma glucose levels. In an animal model, shilajit 100 mg per kg daily enhanced the glucose-lowering ability of both glibenclamide and metformin when given in combination over a 4 week period. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.

Oseni combines two diabetes medicines, alogliptin and pioglitazone, that both work to bring your blood sugar down. The thought here is that shilajit may have its own mild blood-sugar-lowering effect. If you stack that on top of Oseni, your numbers could dip lower than expected, which is what we call hypoglycemia.

If that happens, you might feel shaky, sweaty, lightheaded, hungry, or unusually tired. I'll be honest with you though: this concern comes mostly from animal and lab research, not solid human studies, so it's more of a watch closely than a hard warning. If you want to try shilajit, check your blood sugar a bit more often at first and loop in your pharmacist or doctor before starting.
