Metformin, Linagliptin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Shilajit interacts with.

Taking shilajit with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Most human and animal research shows that shilajit can decrease fasting plasma glucose levels. In an animal model, shilajit 100 mg per kg daily enhanced the glucose-lowering ability of both glibenclamide and metformin when given in combination over a 4 week period. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.

Jentadueto pairs two diabetes medicines, metformin and linagliptin, that both work to bring your blood sugar down. The thinking here is that shilajit may have its own mild blood sugar lowering effect. So when you stack it on top of your diabetes meds, the two could add together and push your glucose lower than intended.

If that happens, you might notice signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a racing heart, or feeling foggy and irritable. Honestly though, the evidence for this is on the weaker side, coming mostly from lab and animal studies, so it is a possible concern rather than a proven one. I would not panic, but it is worth checking your blood sugar more closely and chatting with your pharmacist or doctor before adding shilajit.
