St. John's wort decreases the levels and clinical effects of oxycodone.
St. John's wort can increase oxycodone metabolism by inducing cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4), reducing plasma levels and analgesic activity.

Percodan combines aspirin with oxycodone, and it's the oxycodone half that matters here. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help process oxycodone, and St. John's wort speeds that enzyme up. The result is that your body clears the oxycodone faster, so blood levels drop and you may get less pain relief than you expect.

In practical terms, your usual dose might just stop working as well, leaving pain undertreated. This effect is considered likely, though the supporting studies aren't top-tier. Please don't adjust anything on your own. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before combining St. John's wort with Percodan so they can help you manage pain safely.
