Theoretically, St. John's wort might inhibit reuptake and increase levels of serotonin, resulting in additive effects with serotonergic drugs.
Concomitant use of serotonergic drugs with St. John's wort can lead to increased adverse effects and increase the risk of serotonergic side effects, including serotonin syndrome and cerebral vasoconstriction disorders.

Here's the thing with combining St. John's wort and vortioxetine (Trintellix): both raise serotonin levels in the brain. Vortioxetine already boosts serotonin to lift your mood, and St. John's wort may nudge serotonin upward too. Stack them together and you can get too much of a good thing, which raises the risk of serotonin syndrome.

Watch for things like agitation, shakiness or twitching, a racing heart, sweating, fever, or confusion. To be fair, this concern is mostly theoretical, based on how each works rather than lots of real-world reports, so I don't want to scare you. Still, since both push the same direction, please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them. Don't stop either one on your own.
