Meperidine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Tinospora Cordifolia interacts with.

Theoretically, Tinospora cordifolia might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
In vitro research shows that Tinospora cordifolia extract inhibits CYP2D6 at high concentrations. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist with Giloy (Tinospora cordifolia) and your meperidine. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to help process meperidine. In lab dishes, concentrated Giloy extract appears to slow that enzyme down. If that same thing happened in people, meperidine could clear a bit more slowly and build up, which might mean stronger effects like extra drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, or slowed breathing.

The important part: this is only a theoretical concern based on test-tube research at high concentrations. It hasn't been seen in real patients. Still, because meperidine is a strong opioid where extra side effects matter, I'd run any Giloy supplement past your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
