Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Fluphenazine
Fluphenazine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Tinospora Cordifolia interacts with.
In vitro research shows that Tinospora cordifolia extract inhibits CYP2D6 at high concentrations. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist with Fluphenazine and Giloy (Tinospora cordifolia). Your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to clear fluphenazine out of your system. In lab dish studies, this herb slowed that enzyme down at high concentrations. If that were to happen in a person, fluphenazine could build up a bit and its effects, both good and unwanted, could get stronger.
For fluphenazine, that might mean more drowsiness, dizziness, muscle stiffness, restlessness, or those telltale tremor-like movements. That said, this has only been seen in the lab, never reported in real people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. There have also been rare reports of liver trouble with Giloy itself. Before adding it, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor.

“Take real care with supplements while on fluphenazine (Prolixin), an antipsychotic used mainly for schizophrenia. Five of the 148 ingredients on file rate major: herbs like henbane that stack anticholinergic side effects (dry mouth, blurred vision, confusion) onto a drug already prone to them, two rauwolfia plants that can intensify it…”
