Here's the simple version: tragacanth is mostly a thick, gel-forming fiber. When you swallow it close to a pill like cilostazol, that slippery gel could grab onto the medicine in your stomach and gut and change how much actually gets absorbed. It might lower the amount that reaches your blood, or in some cases raise it. Honestly, this is a theoretical concern based on how the fiber behaves, not something proven in real patients taking cilostazol.

Why it matters a little: cilostazol works by improving blood flow in your legs, so getting too little could mean less relief from that walking pain, while more than usual could nudge up side effects like headache, dizziness, or a fast heartbeat. An easy fix is timing. Take your cilostazol first, then wait 30 to 60 minutes before the tragacanth. When in doubt, ask your pharmacist.
