ORAL DRUGS
Why this applies to Finasteride, Tadalafil
Finasteride, Tadalafil falls under ORAL DRUGS — the group Tragacanth interacts with.
Tragacanth contains hydrocolloidal fiber which can decrease, increase, or not affect oral drug absorption. To avoid changes in absorption, take tragacanth 30-60 minutes after oral medications.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the situation with Entadfi, which combines finasteride (for an enlarged prostate) and tadalafil (which also helps with urinary symptoms and erections). Tragacanth is a plant gum that swells into a thick, slippery gel when it meets fluid in your gut. That gel can act like a sponge and may grab onto pills you swallow around the same time, which could change how much of your medicine actually gets absorbed.
This is only a theoretical concern based on how the gum behaves, not on real studies with this combo, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The direction could go either way (slightly less, slightly more, or no change). To stay on the safe side, take any tragacanth supplement about 30 to 60 minutes after your Entadfi. If you have questions, your pharmacist can help.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Finasteride, Tadalafil page
“Entadfi combines finasteride and tadalafil for an enlarged prostate, and because tadalafil relaxes blood vessels and both drugs are cleared by the liver enzyme CYP3A4, this is a supplement list I would read carefully rather than skim. Most of the interactions here change how fast the body breaks the medicine down.”
