Vitamin B6 + Levodopa
Levodopa brand names: Larodopa, Inbrija.
Vitamin B6 has a minor interaction with Levodopa. Vitamin B6 may increase the metabolism of levodopa when taken alone, but not when taken in conjunction with carbidopa.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
LEVODOPA
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) enhances the metabolism of levodopa, reducing its clinical effects. However, this interaction does not occur when carbidopa is used concurrently with levodopa (Sinemet). Therefore, it is not likely to be a problem in most people.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the deal with vitamin B6 and levodopa. Levodopa is the substance your brain converts into dopamine, which is exactly what's running low in Parkinson's. The catch is that B6 (pyridoxine) can speed up how your body breaks levodopa down before it ever reaches your brain. If that happens, you could get less symptom relief, meaning more stiffness, slower movement, or tremor creeping back in.
The good news: nearly all modern levodopa products are paired with carbidopa (think Sinemet, Rytary, Duopa), and carbidopa blocks this whole problem. So for most people today this isn't a real concern. It's mainly theoretical, based on how the drugs work. Still, if you take levodopa without carbidopa, or you're considering high-dose B6, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Levodopa page
“Parkinson symptoms return fast when levodopa (Larodopa, Inbrija) stops reaching the brain, and most of the 41 supplements on this page can make that happen, so treat these combinations with genuine care. Protein and amino acid supplements compete with levodopa for transport into the brain, while everyday minerals like magnesium and iro…”

About Vitamin B6
What is Vitamin B6?
- Morning sickness in pregnancy
- Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)
- Preventing or treating B6 deficiency
- Nerve health and metabolism support
- Nausea
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is an essential water-soluble vitamin that your body needs for metabolism, brain function, and making red blood cells. It is best known for helping with pregnancy-related nausea and may help some people with PMS, but taking very high doses for long periods can cause nerve damage. Get most of your B6 from food, and check with a pharmacist or doctor before taking high-dose supplements.
About Levodopa Oral Inhalation
What Is Levodopa Oral Inhalation Used For?
Brand names: Larodopa, Inbrija
Inbrija is used to treat OFF episodes in adults with Parkinson's disease. An OFF episode is when your regular oral carbidopa/levodopa medication temporarily stops working well enough, causing Parkinson's symptoms — such as stiffness, slowness, or tremor — to return.
Inbrija is used as needed when OFF symptoms start to come back. It is not a replacement for your regular oral carbidopa/levodopa; it works alongside it.
