Here is the idea behind this one. Thiothixene (Navane) calms symptoms of schizophrenia by blocking dopamine in the brain. Vitex, on the other hand, is thought to act a bit like a dopamine booster, which could in theory push in the opposite direction. If that happens, your thiothixene might not work quite as well, and you could notice more of the symptoms it is meant to control.

I want to be honest about how shaky this evidence is. This concern comes only from lab and animal research, not from real patients, so it is theoretical. Still, because thiothixene treats a serious condition, I would not want to gamble on it. Please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before adding Vitex, rather than starting or stopping anything on your own.
