Here's the gist: thiothixene (Navane) calms abnormal brain activity by dialing down dopamine signaling. Rauvolfia vomitoria, through its reserpine-type alkaloids, depletes those same brain messengers like dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin. Stack the two together and you may amplify each other's effects, which is why this combo is flagged as major.

In real life that could mean lower blood pressure and dizziness, more sedation or drowsiness, low mood, and a higher chance of movement-related problems like stiffness, tremor, or restlessness. That said, this warning is theoretical, based on how these compounds work rather than firm human studies. Still, Rauvolfia is potent and not a casual supplement, so please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before combining them. Don't change your thiothixene on your own.
