Yohimbine, a constituent of Rauvolfia vomitoria, has sympathomimetic effects and increases blood pressure in a dose-dependent manner. Theoretically, taking Rauvolfia vomitoria with stimulant drugs can have additive stimulant and hypertensive effects.

Here's the situation with combining Rauvolfia vomitoria and your amphetamine. Amphetamine is already a strong stimulant, working directly to raise levels of norepinephrine and dopamine and to push your heart rate and blood pressure up. Rauvolfia contains yohimbine-related compounds that can also stimulate the nervous system and nudge blood pressure higher. Stacked together, the worry is an additive push in the same direction.

In real terms, that could mean a racing or pounding heart, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or feeling anxious and overheated. I'll be honest, this is a theoretical concern based on how the ingredients work, not strong human studies, but because both can raise blood pressure I wouldn't take it lightly. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist before pairing them.

Rauvolfia vomitoria contains small amounts of the drug yohimbine. In vitro research shows that yohimbine inhibits CYP2D6 enzyme activity.

Here's the gist with these two together. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to help break down amphetamine. Rauvolfia vomitoria contains a small amount of yohimbine, and in lab (test tube) studies yohimbine can slow that enzyme down. If that happens in the body, your amphetamine could clear a little slower and build up, which may push its effects and side effects higher. Think faster heart rate, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or feeling anxious or wired.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. It's theoretical and based only on lab data, not real patient studies, so it may not matter much in practice. Still, both products affect blood pressure on their own, so please run this combo by your doctor or pharmacist first.
