ANTIPSYCHOTIC DRUGS
Why this applies to Mesoridazine Besylate
Mesoridazine Besylate falls under ANTIPSYCHOTIC DRUGS — the group Rauvolfia Vomitoria interacts with.
Concomitant use of neuroleptics with Rauvolfia vomitoria may potentiate the effects of these drugs and the rauwolfia alkaloids.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the gist: both mesoridazine and the reserpine in Rauvolfia vomitoria push on the same systems in your brain and blood vessels. Mesoridazine calms certain brain chemicals, and reserpine drains those same messengers while also lowering blood pressure. Stacked together, the effects can add up, so this is rated a major concern even though it's based on how these drugs work rather than hard human studies.
What that could look like in real life: stronger sedation, dizziness or fainting when you stand up (from low blood pressure), a slower or irregular heartbeat, and possibly a deeper low mood. Mesoridazine can already affect heart rhythm, so I'd take this seriously. Please don't change anything on your own. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before combining these.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Mesoridazine Besylate page
“Mesoridazine (Serentil) is an older antipsychotic already known for disturbing heart rhythm on its own, so I read its interaction list with genuine concern. Of the 66 supplements and herbs on file, 11 are rated major, and most of those do one of two things: deepen the drug's effect on the heart's electrical timing (QT prolongation) or…”
