Edoxaban falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Rauvolfia Vomitoria interacts with.

Theoretically, combining Rauvolfia vomitoria with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs might have additive effects.
Rauvolfia vomitoria contains small amounts of yohimbine. Research in healthy adults shows that taking yohimbine in doses of 8 mg or more seems to inhibit platelet aggregation in vitro by binding to the alpha-2 adrenoceptor. The effects of Rauvolfia vomitoria itself are unclear.

Here's the short version: Edoxaban (Savaysa) is already a blood thinner that blocks factor Xa to keep clots from forming. Rauvolfia vomitoria contains a small amount of yohimbine, and lab studies suggest yohimbine may make platelets a little less sticky. So in theory, pairing the two could nudge your bleeding risk up a bit. With Edoxaban, that might show up as easier bruising, nosebleeds, gums that bleed when you brush, or bleeding that takes longer to stop.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. It's theoretical, based on how these compounds behave, not on solid human studies, and the effect of the whole plant is unclear. The rating is minor. Still, because Edoxaban is a serious medication, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and report any unusual bleeding right away.

About Edoxaban

What Is Edoxaban Used For?

Brand name: Savaysa

Savaysa (edoxaban) is used to reduce the risk of stroke and systemic embolism (when a clot travels to other parts of the body) in adults with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation — a type of irregular heartbeat not caused by a heart valve problem. Important: Savaysa is not appropriate for everyone with this condition; people with very high kidney function (creatinine clearance above 95 mL/min) should use a different anticoagulant instead.

Savaysa is also used to treat deep vein thrombosis (DVT — a blood clot in a deep vein, usually the leg) and pulmonary embolism (PE — a blood clot in the lungs). For DVT and PE, Savaysa is started after 5 to 10 days of initial treatment with an injectable blood thinner.
