Zopiclone is a sleep aid that already slows down your brain to help you nod off, so its main job is making you calm and drowsy. Rauvolfia vomitoria appears to have its own sedating effect, mostly seen in animal studies, which means pairing the two could pile sedation on top of sedation. The worry here is extra drowsiness, grogginess, dizziness, trouble concentrating, and feeling unsteady on your feet the next morning, which can raise the risk of falls.

To be fair, this is a theoretical concern based on how these compounds work, not proven in people. Still, since Rauvolfia is a strong plant that also affects blood pressure and mood, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining it with zopiclone.
