30 Billion Probiotics Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by Fully Flora
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking 30 Billion Probiotics against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
This product contains 10 active probiotic strains — live beneficial bacteria meant to support gut health. The ones we have data for are Bifidobacterium breve, Bacillus subtilis, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium longum, and Bacillus coagulans, plus five others (Lactobacillus salivarius, Bifidobacterium animalis lactis, Lactobacillus casei, and Lactobacillus rhamnosus).
The inactive ingredients are vegetable cellulose (the capsule), rice dextrin, and medium chain triglycerides.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for these strains is mixed. Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bacillus coagulans are possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and Bacillus subtilis is possibly effective for antibiotic-associated diarrhea.
Lactobacillus acidophilus also shows possible effectiveness for Helicobacter pylori and bacterial vaginosis. For most other conditions — like allergic rhinitis, asthma, anxiety, and athletic performance — we don't have reliable evidence yet to rate whether these strains help.
The evidence isn't established in our data for many of the uses people might consider.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
The strains we checked are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. However, there are some cautions: probiotics contain live organisms, so in rare cases — especially in critically ill or immunocompromised people, preterm infants, or those with central lines — bacteremia (bacteria entering the bloodstream) has been reported.
Gastrointestinal side effects like bloating, flatulence, abdominal discomfort, and diarrhea are uncommon but have occurred. Because safety data are limited overall, check with your doctor before using this product, especially if you're seriously ill, have a weakened immune system, or are very young.
For Lactobacillus acidophilus, pregnancy is rated possibly safe; for Bifidobacterium longum, pregnancy and lactation are rated possibly safe. We don't have pregnancy or lactation safety data on file for the other strains.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Antibiotics are the main medication type to double-check before taking this product — a Moderate interaction with five of the strains means they could reduce how well the probiotics work. Separate your doses by several hours.
Check your exact medications with the tool on this page.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This probiotic may help with IBS, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and some bacterial infections if you're otherwise healthy. If you take antibiotics, separate them from this product by several hours — don't take them together.
Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before starting, especially if you're ill, immunocompromised, or very young.

30 Billion Probiotics by Fully Flora Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Fully Flora 30 Billion Probiotics contains several live bacterial strains, and the ones we've checked show interactions with antibiotic drugs.
The most serious concern is a Moderate interaction: taking this product at the same time as antibiotics might reduce how well the probiotics work. Since these are live organisms, antibiotics can kill a significant number of them.
The affected strains are Bifidobacterium breve, Bacillus subtilis, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium longum, and Bacillus coagulans.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
To protect the probiotics, separate your doses — take antibiotics and this supplement at different times of day, ideally several hours apart. Your pharmacist or doctor can help you space them properly.
We were not able to check Lactobacillus salivarius, Bifidobacterium animalis lactis, Lactobacillus casei, and Lactobacillus rhamnosus for interactions; interaction data isn't on file for these ingredients. Altogether, these interactions span 182 individual medications.

Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus acidophilus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. acidophilus.
L. acidophilus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. acidophilus preparations by at least two hours.
