What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: Apple Cider Vinegar, in powder form. The powder is blended with maltodextrin, which is an inactive ingredient used to keep the product stable.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence we hold doesn't establish that apple cider vinegar is effective for acne, athletic performance, cognitive function, dental plaque, depression, or atopic dermatitis (eczema) — in each case the research is insufficient or unreliable. If you're thinking about it for one of these purposes, the data doesn't support it yet.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
In food amounts, apple cider vinegar is generally well tolerated. Short-term medicinal use also appears safe for most people.
However, large doses or long-term use may not be safe — there is limited safety data on supplement-level amounts. In rare cases, long-term use of large amounts has caused low potassium levels, elevated kidney hormones, and bone loss.
Topically, apple cider vinegar can cause chemical burns and skin irritation, even from a single application in some cases. We don't have enough data to rate safety in pregnancy or lactation — talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning either.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, double-check with your pharmacist if you take digoxin (Lanoxin) or any water pill (diuretic), insulin, or diabetes medication. The biggest risk is low potassium and its effects on your heart.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Apple Cider Vinegar Powder may be fine in food amounts or as a short-term supplement, but be cautious if you take digoxin, diuretics, insulin, or diabetes medications — potassium depletion is a real concern. Avoid applying it to your skin.
Talk with your pharmacist before starting it, especially if you have heart or kidney issues.

Apple Cider Vinegar by BulkSupplements.com Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Apple Cider Vinegar Powder by BulkSupplements.com does interact with several important medication types.
The most serious concern is with digoxin (a heart medication brand-named Lanoxin) — apple cider vinegar can theoretically lower your potassium levels, and when potassium drops too far, it increases the risk of digoxin toxicity and heart problems.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Diuretics (water pills) and insulin both carry Moderate risks for the same reason: apple cider vinegar may deplete potassium, which is especially risky when you're already on medications that affect it. There's even a documented case of someone who developed low potassium (hypokalemia) from taking large amounts of apple cider vinegar regularly.
Antidiabetes drugs carry a Minor interaction — apple cider vinegar may lower blood sugar levels, so combined with these medications there's a theoretical risk of blood sugar dropping too low (hypoglycemia), though the evidence is mixed.
Although these interactions span 161 individual medications, the primary concern is potassium depletion and its effects on your heart and blood sugar. Check your exact medications with the tool on this page before you start.
