Bifidus Mood Boost Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Bifidus Mood Boost against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Bifidus Mood Boost contains five active ingredients: three Bifidobacterium species (B. breve, B. bifidum, and B. longum), plus B. infantis, and galactooligosaccharides. These are all probiotics — beneficial bacteria meant to support your gut health.
The product also contains methylcellulose as an inactive ingredient to hold the capsule together.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for this product's ingredients is mixed and mostly limited. B. bifidum has possibly effective evidence for irritable bowel syndrome and respiratory tract infections.
B. breve, B. longum, and B. infantis don't have established evidence for their specific effects in our data. For most other uses — anxiety, hay fever, cognitive health, antibiotic-related diarrhea — the evidence we hold on these strains is insufficient to rate them.
Talk with your doctor about what you're hoping this will do for you, and whether a probiotic is the right fit.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
These probiotics are generally well tolerated in healthy people. That said, if you're seriously ill, have a weakened immune system, or are critically unwell, you'll want to check with your doctor first — there have been rare cases of these Bifidobacterium strains causing infection in very ill patients, particularly in infants and children.
Some people report mild bloating, gas, or abdominal discomfort when starting probiotics, though these haven't been specifically reported with B. bifidum or B. breve. B. infantis and galactooligosaccharides don't have pregnancy or breastfeeding safety data on file; B. bifidum is possibly safe in pregnancy, and B. longum is possibly safe in both pregnancy and lactation.
If you're pregnant or nursing, talk with your pharmacist before starting.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Double-check any antibiotic drugs you're taking before starting this product. Antibiotics can kill the live organisms in the probiotic, making it less effective — so you'll want to time your doses carefully and talk with your pharmacist about the right way to take them together.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This probiotic blend may help if you have IBS or want to support respiratory health, though most effects aren't well established. If you're healthy, it's generally low-risk — but if you're very ill or immunocompromised, check with your doctor first.
Most importantly: if you're taking antibiotics, space them out from this product so the probiotic lives to do its job.

Bifidus Mood Boost by Lifted Naturals Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Bifidus Mood Boost by Lifted Naturals contains four probiotic strains — B. breve, B. bifidum, B. longum, and B. infantis — plus galactooligosaccharides.
The main interaction concern is with antibiotic drugs. All three strains we could check (B. breve, B. bifidum, and B. longum) may have their effectiveness reduced if you take them at the same time as antibiotics, because antibiotics can kill the live organisms in the probiotic.
The solution is straightforward: space out your antibiotic and probiotic doses — don't take them together.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
We couldn't check B. infantis or galactooligosaccharides for interactions — we hold no data for those ingredients. Altogether, these interactions span 182 individual medications.
Before you start this product, run your exact medications through the checker on this page to see if any antibiotics or other drugs you take are affected.

Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Lactobacillus acidophilus with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of L. acidophilus.
L. acidophilus preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and L. acidophilus preparations by at least two hours.
