The evidence for BroccoCap's ingredients is mixed and often limited. Sulforaphane is possibly effective for prostate cancer support, but the data is insufficient to rate it for hay fever, asthma, or general cancer.
Broccoli is possibly effective for colorectal cancer, but evidence is insufficient for bladder cancer, breast cancer, fibromyalgia, and gastric cancer. Daikon has insufficient evidence for both biliary disorders and diabetes support.

How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Sulforaphane from food is considered safe, but this product contains a concentrated supplement form, which is less studied for long-term use. The most common side effects reported are bowel discomfort, heartburn, stomach upset, and vomiting.
Isolated cases have noted headache, insomnia, irritability, increased weight gain, and in rare instances seizure in people with autism or seizure history. Broccoli and daikon as foods are generally well tolerated, though concentrated supplements of either are less established.
At high doses, broccoli extract can cause loose stools, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and cramping. Daikon may cause throat tightness, hives, or mild indigestion in rare cases.
Pregnancy and lactation: sulforaphane supplements are not proven safe in pregnancy—stick to normal food amounts. The data for daikon doesn't include a pregnancy safety rating, so there isn't enough information to know either way; broccoli as food is considered likely safe in pregnancy.
For breastfeeding, there's not enough information on supplement-level sulforaphane doses, so use caution and prefer dietary amounts.

Sulforaphane may theoretically increase blood levels and effects of drugs broken down by the CYP3A4 enzyme (Moderate severity), and may alter the levels of CYP1A2 substrates, though the direction is unclear—it could go either way (Moderate severity). It may also increase levels of CYP2E1 substrates (Moderate severity).
These interactions haven't been seen in humans yet, but the lab evidence warrants caution.
Broccoli in the product can reduce the levels and effectiveness of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2 and CYP2A6 enzymes (both Moderate severity). Human studies show that eating large amounts of fresh broccoli boosts these enzymes' activity, speeding up how your body clears certain medications.
Daikon may increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) when combined with diabetes medications (Moderate severity).

Sulforaphane
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, sulforaphane might alter the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
Animal and in vitro research shows that sulforaphane inhibits CYP1A2 enzyme activity. However, its precursor glucoraphanin also appears to increase the expression of the CYP1A2 enzyme, which could lead to increased metabolism of CYP1A2 substrates. These effects have not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2E1 (Cyp2E1) Substrates
Theoretically, sulforaphane might increase the levels and effects of CYP2E1 substrates.
In vitro evidence shows that sulforaphane inhibits CYP2E1 enzymes. This interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, sulforaphane might increase the levels and effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
Animal and in vitro research shows that sulforaphane inhibits CYP3A4 enzyme activity and downregulates its expression. This interaction has not been reported in humans.
Broccoli
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, broccoli might reduce the levels and effects of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
Pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that eating 500 grams of fresh broccoli daily for 6-12 days can increase CYP1A2 activity by 10% to 200%. Induction of CYP1A2 activity by broccoli is attributed to its glucosinolate constituents.
Cytochrome P450 2A6 (Cyp2A6) Substrates
Theoretically, broccoli might reduce the levels and effects of drugs metabolized by CYP2A6.
Pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that eating 500 grams of broccoli daily for 6 days increases CYP2A6 activity by 135% to 550%. Induction of CYP2A6 activity is attributed to its glucosinolate constituents.
Daikon
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, radish might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
Animal research shows that radish extract, juice, and sprouts can reduce glucose levels. Animal research also shows that radish root juice 300 mg/kg reduces fasting and postprandial blood glucose in a rat model of diabetes, with effects similar to glibenclamide.
