Chanca Piedra's composition is a large amount of phytochemicals, which give it a high potential as a regulator of many of the functions of different organs of the bod; it also contains alkaloids that allow you to balance the pH of body fluids, which is essential for proper cell functioning.

Product Description: Nutritional supplement made from Chanca Piedra, or break-stone, specially formulated to help prevent and/or remove kidney stones and gallstones, protect the liver, strengthen the immune system, lower blood pressure and high cholesterol levels, and relive pain.

Alternative medicine attributes Chaca Piedra with the following properties: It dissolves oxalate crystals, especially calcium and magnesium crystals, but it is also an effective diuretic and aids in relaxing the muscles in the urinary tract, which facilitates the expulsion of the crystal build-up in the urine. It serves as a natural protector of the liver, effective against hepatitis and jaundice, and an anticancer agent in cases of liver cancer. It strengthens the immune and lymphatic systems helping to fight off viruses and infections. Lowers high blood pressure, thereby protecting the heart and circulatory system. It is a powerful analgesic, 7 times more potent than aspirin and acetaminophen, without the side effects of chemical analgesics. It has antiuler properties and helps protects the stomach membrane.

Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs

Theoretically, chanca piedra might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro research suggests that methyl brevifolincarboxylate, a constituent isolated from chanca piedra, can inhibit platelet aggregation. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Theoretically, chanca piedra might reduce the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research shows that chanca piedra extract increases CYP1A2 activity. Theoretically, chanca piedra might increase metabolism of CYP1A2 substrates and lower serum concentrations. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Some preliminary clinical research in adults with hypertension shows that chanca piedra has diuretic properties. Until more is known, use cautiously in patients taking diuretic drugs.
