In vitro research shows that chanca piedra extract increases CYP1A2 activity. Theoretically, chanca piedra might increase metabolism of CYP1A2 substrates and lower serum concentrations. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

This combination pill carries caffeine, which your liver clears using an enzyme called CYP1A2. In lab dishes, chanca piedra seems to speed up that enzyme. If the same thing happened in people, your body might clear caffeine a little faster, so you could notice less of the usual pick-me-up or alertness boost from this product. The acetaminophen, codeine, and salicylamide parts aren't the main concern here.

Here's the honest part: this is only a test-tube finding, never actually reported in real patients, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, if you take this medicine regularly and want to try chanca piedra, run it past your pharmacist or doctor first so they can keep an eye on things.

This combo pill has a few moving parts, but the one worth talking about is the codeine. Codeine is what we call a prodrug, meaning your body has to convert it into morphine for it to actually relieve pain. Lab studies suggest chanca piedra may block an enzyme called CYP3A4, which is one of the routes that handles codeine. If that pathway slows down, more codeine could shift toward becoming active, which could mean stronger effects like drowsiness, constipation, or slowed breathing.

Here's the honest part: this is only seen in test-tube research, not in real people, so it's theoretical. I wouldn't panic, but I also wouldn't ignore it. Before pairing the two, check in with your pharmacist or doctor so they can weigh it for your situation.
