Testosterone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Chanca Piedra interacts with.

Theoretically, use of chanca piedra might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that chanca piedra extract inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, chanca piedra might increase the levels of CYP3A4 substrates. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the simple version: your body uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break down testosterone. Chanca piedra has shown, in lab dish studies only, that it can slow that enzyme down. If that were to happen in real life, your testosterone might clear a little slower and build up, which could nudge its effects and side effects upward (think things like acne, oily skin, mood swings, fluid retention, or changes in red blood cell counts).

The honest part: this is theoretical. It has only been seen in a test tube, never reported in actual people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, since you're already on testosterone with regular lab checks, it's worth a quick mention to your pharmacist or doctor before adding chanca piedra.

About Testosterone

What Is Testosterone Used For?

Brand names: Intrinsa, Testim, Androgel, Andropatch, Testogel, Nebido, Delatestryl, Natesto, Vogelxo

Testosterone replacement therapy is used in adult males whose bodies do not produce enough of their own testosterone. This includes primary hypogonadism — where the testes themselves fail due to causes such as Klinefelter's syndrome, injury, chemotherapy, or surgical removal — and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, where the brain's signaling system (the hypothalamus or pituitary gland) fails to trigger testosterone production.

Testopel (subcutaneous pellets) may also be used to stimulate puberty in carefully selected males with clearly delayed puberty. The safety and efficacy of testosterone for age-related (late-onset) hypogonadism have not been established for most products, including AndroGel, Testim, Jatenzo, Kyzatrex, Natesto, Depo-Testosterone, Testosterone Cypionate, and Xyosted.
