Ketoprofen falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Chanca Piedra interacts with.

Theoretically, chanca piedra might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro research suggests that methyl brevifolincarboxylate, a constituent isolated from chanca piedra, can inhibit platelet aggregation. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the simple version. Ketoprofen is an NSAID, and like its cousins ibuprofen and naproxen, it already nudges up your bleeding risk a bit by quieting the platelets that help your blood clot. Chanca piedra may do something similar. In test-tube studies, one of its plant compounds slowed platelets from clumping together. Stack the two, and in theory you could bruise more easily, get nosebleeds, or notice cuts taking longer to stop.

Now, the honest part: this is theoretical. It comes from lab research, not from people, so we don't actually have human reports of it causing bleeding. Still, since ketoprofen can also be hard on the stomach, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, especially if you take a blood thinner or have ulcers.

Ketoprofen capsules (including the Orudis brand) are approved for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, general pain management, and primary dysmenorrhea (painful menstrual periods). Ketoprofen extended-release capsules are approved for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis only — they are not recommended for acute pain because of their slow-release design.

Regardless of formulation, the goal is always to use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed.
